A few months ago IJOY introduced us to the first 20700 battery mod when it came out with the IJOY Captain PD270. Many of us were left wondering, what’s next? Well, leave it up to IJOY to surprise us again with the IJOY CAPO.
Compact Design, Powerful Performance
With the IJOY CAPO 100 kit, Ijoy introduces us to its first 21700 battery mod. By using a single 21700 battery it keeps the size of the CAPO 100 compact while still offering 100w of power and a reported battery life equivalent to a dual 18650 battery mod. The IJOY Capo Kit includes the Capo 100 box mod and the Captain Mini sub-ohm tank.
The IJOY CAPO box mod uses a single 21700 battery. Included with kit is the IJOY 21700 battery which features fantastic battery life and high discharge rate with 3750 mAh rated capacity and 40A continuous discharge maximum. Using a single 21700 battery allows the Capo to maintain a compact design while giving it 100w of power and the equivalent battery life of dual 18650 mod. However, it’s nice to see that the Capo is also compatible with single 18650 and 20700 batteries also with an adapter.
Captain Mini
Included with in the IJOY Capo Kit is the new Ijoy Captain Mini Sub-ohm Tank. The Captain Mini Sub-ohm Tank offers a 3.2 ml capacity and is conveniently filled via the sliding top cap.
The Capo has a nice sized screen, large side fire button and easy to access top battery slot. While being on the compact side, the Capo accommodates up to 26mm tanks without any overhang.
There is also a new thread-less coil system for easy coil replacement. The included 0.5ohm CA-M1 Coil Head has an output range of 30-60w along with the CA-M2 Coil Head with a maximum recommended wattage of 80W.

As someone who has a few dozen 18650 batteries laying around, I can see how some wouldn’t be thrilled with idea and reluctant to change. However, as a vape enthusiast, it’s always exciting to see new products coming to the market. Ijoy including the battery with the CAPO makes it a lot more appealing to people who may be on the fence.
If the CAPO with it’s single 21700 battery performs like it’s being promoted then I think we could get used to the change. Smaller devices with longer lasting battery life is an appealing concept. The Captain Mini features a specially designed groove located below the juice reservoir and right above the coil placement. This results in a reduction in heat transmission and helps prevent the tank from heating up during extended use. I think this is a great idea, because us chain vapers know how fast a tank can heat up.
